You can't do something once and expect results, right? Same with your hair! One treatment isn't going to fix all your problems, but consistency will certainly fast track your results!
I am the type to use something in my pantry than to go out and buy new products. The plus side of that is the lack of chemicals in store products, which is something I'm trying to be better about. So let's check out what pantry items you can use if you're into it!
DIY Recipe for Dry Hair
Mix 1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tsp honey
You'll want to apply from the middle of your hair, down to the tips.
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT PUT IT NEAR YOUR SCALP!
If you do, you'll end up a greasy mess for the week, and I know you don't have time to deal with that. Neither do I, so let's aim for about ear level (depending on your length), and work the mixture into the hair down to the tips.
Sleep with a silk scarf covering your hair, and rinse out in the morning.
Do this once a week, you'll start seeing results the more you do it! Don't give up after one try if you don't see results right away!
If you aren't into using pantry items for your hair, I get it. My professional advice would be to use a sulfate free shampoo 2-3 times a week. This helps retain moisture, which is obviously needed when we are suffering from dry hair. Incorporating the OLAPLEX No.8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask weekly can help pack the hair full of moisture easier when paired with a sulfate-free shampoo.
Whether you go for the DIY or professional advice, either will help you get on the path back to happy, healthy hair. That is the goal after all, right?!
